Pixies.

Personal Project. - Music Design - Created a fictional band based on the concept of the "manic pixie dream girl". Indie, singer-songwriter group consists of three girls and is strongly inspired by groups like Haim and Boygenius. Their album, Better in the Movies, plays on the concept the pressure of being the type of girl you only see in movie theaters but constantly failing expectations. The design is strongly inspired by vintage filmmaking and a hand-drawn and rustic style.

LOGO

The logo is supposed to emulate a "pixie" or fairy, with three "P"s making the wings and head, also symbolizing the three members of the band

COLOR PALETTE

The color palette is strongly inspired by sepia filter tone and a more vintage style. The colors are named after movies.

Typography

Courier, designed in mid-1900s by Howard Kettler, is strongly associated as a "typewriter" font. It is also the industry standard for scriptwriting in the film and television industry. This brand campaign utilizes the font in different weights to play up the vintage film feel.
